Mediatek sux, 16 hours agoXiaomi is fked, they have a hundred models already in the factory with flat design.iPhone 15 is still going to have flat sides though. Most current Xiaomi phones already have slightly rounded back anyway.

Smartphone brands should take notes from Nokia for how to design a phone

Personally, I hope no rounded back and front, not now, it is better to have the next iPhone has no bezel at all.
dbjungle, 15 hours agoPlease no. Every company is gonna go right back to making s***** rounded back phones again. … moreApple ain’t gonna listen to you, they gonna do whatever they want to do 🤣

You mean like the Galaxy S3?
Rosso, 16 hours agoGolf is a tool, it’s a vehicle to get you from point A to point B, if you were buying pho… moreNo. iPhone is easily the highest selling smart phone in the US. Most Americans are buying iPhones. Most Americans are NOT buying those expensive cars because they’re out of their price range. The iPhone is more like the car that’s a bit more expensive than average, but it’s worth it for the quality. Sounds a bit like a Golf. (At European prices anyway)
-Touch ID more convenient in the dark
-Touch ID more convenient for Apple Pay
– Touch ID is like 95% registered all day
-Touch ID more convenient in warm climates
-Gesture can get in the way using apps
-Swipe up can close my texting app
– Prefer Control Center from the bottom
-Can see my battery % clearer without a notch
I’ve been offered from AT&T to get an iPhone 12 mini for $1 per month for the next 36 months if I sign up for an unlimited plan. No thank you. Sold my 12 mini and zero regrets.
I really hated when I would type and it would accidentally close because the space bar is right above the gesture line. Certain games require a swipe up gesture. And my Pixel 3 took better photos than the 12 mini.
I guess iPhone SE 3 will be the last to have Touch ID, home button, and sim tray to avoid that e-sim nonsense when you want to switch between phones a lot. Apple will not bring back a fingerprint security in the foreseeable future. The SE 3 is truly a Special Edition.
The SE 4 will give us more overrated bezel-less crap. More inconvenience with Face ID that you end up inputting your passcode more than half of the time. More inconvenience using a swipe up gesture which can accidentally close apps. A notch that will get in the way of viewing content or a simple battery %.
Love my iPhone SE 2022. The last great iPhone before more brainless sheeple think Face ID, touch gestures, a hideous notch, and e-sim only is actually better for us when they aren’t and never will be.
Daemon Targaryen, 21 hours agoWhy? You want iPhones to have flat sides and back for the fourth consecutive generation? T… moreI don’t care about the sides of the iPhone personally, but if Apple does it then all the Android manufacturers will do it. I hate rounded sides. It’s ugly and it actually makes the phone more slippery because you have less surface area to grip on the sides due to the curve.
Please no. Every company is gonna go right back to making s***** rounded back phones again. Such an ugly design.
Rosso, 16 hours agoGolf is a tool, it’s a vehicle to get you from point A to point B, if you were buying pho… moreYou missed the point entirely. Like, ENTIRELY. The point I was making is how VW makes small changes to slowly make users get used to it without really alienating a huge number of users. It’s why iPhones are so similar for years and don’t do drastic mega changes from one version to another.
Mediatek sux, 16 hours agoXiaomi is fked, they have a hundred models already in the factory with flat design.lol
SShock, 21 hours agoAnd why not? I’ve never heard a VW Golf user say “I want something so radically different… moreGolf is a tool, it’s a vehicle to get you from point A to point B, if you were buying a phone that’s like a Golf in terms of relative price, abilities, etc, you would be getting a 300 dollar midranger at max.
A brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max is like buying yourself a brand new luxury, high performance SUV or a sports car, you ain’t just expecting it to be good to get you from point A to point B, you expect more then that, and you expect new, unique, fun and special stuff with each new generation.
While I do agree with mentality of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”, your comparison isn’t good in regards to it, and “iPhone is Golf of a smartphone world” makes no sense, iPhone is Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini of the similar of the phone world.
That’s a step in the right direction; the sharp edges of the current iPhones make them very uncomfortable to hold, especially the larger sized ones where those edges dig into your hand as you try to grip the phone. Of course that would be less of a problem if you use a case, but for those of us who don’t, that certainly was a problem and one of the reasons I didn’t get an iPhone when I tried them out at an Apple store.
Xiaomi is fked, they have a hundred models already in the factory with flat design.
They won’t make a fully metal phone due to this wireless charging gimmick. There should be an option to buy full metal version without that gimmick.
